SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR 1600W  
PISTOL STYLE DRYER.  
• This hairdryer must not come into contact with  
water or any other liquid  
• Always switch off your hairdryer at the power  
outlet and remove the plug when not in use  
• Do not store your hairdryer near tubs, basins,  
baths or other vessels containing water or any  
other liquid  
• When the hairdryer is used in the bathroom,  
unplug it after use as the proximity of water  
presents a hazard even when the unit is  
switched off

Turn the power off and remove the plug  
when the appliance is not in use and  
before cleaning.  
• For safety reasons and to avoid maintenance  
by unskilled persons, some appliances are  
‘sealed’ using tamperproof screws. Such  
appliances should always be returned to the  
nearest Sunbeam Appointed Service Centre  
for adjustment or repair if required.  
• Do not use your appliance with an extension  
cord unless this cord has been checked  
and tested by a qualified technician or  
service person.  
• Always use your appliance from a power  
outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked  
on the appliance.  
• Close supervision is necessary when your  
appliance is being used near children or  
infirm persons.  
• Never leave an appliance unattended while  
in use.  
• Do not operate any electrical appliance with a  
damaged cord or after the appliance has been  
dropped or damaged in any manner. If damage  
is suspected, return the appliance to the  
nearest Sunbeam Appointed Service Centre  
for examination, repair or adjustment.  
• For additional protection, Sunbeam  
recommend the use of a residual current  
device (RCD) with a tripping current not  
exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit  
supplying power to your appliances.  
• Do not immerse the appliance in water  
or any other liquid unless recommended.  
• Young children should be supervised to ensure  
that they do not play with the appliance.

Using your 1600W Pistol Style  
Dryer  
• The 1600W Pistol Style Dryer has 2 heat  
and 2 speed settings. This combination  
allows for greater versatility and control  
when drying and styling hair  
• Comb hair free of tangles using a wide  
tooth comb  
• Plug your dryer into a power outlet and  
turn on the power  
• The top switch printed in red controls the  
temperature of the airflow as follows  
• II = high heat  
I = low heat  
0 = off  
• Select the desired heat and speed settings  
and using your fingers, dry hair from roots  
to ends  
• Use the concentrator nozzle on specific  
areas of the hair for spot drying or styling  
• Always hold the dryer at least 30 cm away  
from the hair when drying  
• The bottom switch printed in silver controls  
the airflow as follows  
• II = strong airflow  
I = gentle airflow  
• 0 = off  
• A combination of high temperature and  
strong airflow is ideal for fast drying  
• A lower temperature and gentle airflow  
settings give greater control when styling  
• After shampooing and conditioning your  
hair, squeeze excess moisture from the hair  
using a dry towel

Care and Cleaning  
• Turn your hairdryer off after use. Always  
turn the power off and remove the plug  
before cleaning  
• To clean the exterior, simply wipe over with  
a dampened cloth and wipe dry  
• Do not immerse the hairdryer in water or  
any other liquid
